ARKADI – RETHYMNO – CHANIA

Thanks to this outing, we will show you the western part of the island: green and rich in historical monuments! Visit of the Arkadi Monastery, one of the largest and richest monasteries on the island. It was one of the important centers of the Cretan resistance against the Turkish oppressors.
Depart then for the city of Chania, the former capital of the island, which has retained all its charm of yesteryear, with its classic aristocratic residences, its minarets, its fountains and its old port. Numerous buildings bear witness to its eventful history, offering a mix of Ottoman and Venetian architecture.
On the way back, stop in the town of Rethymno, located by the sea and whose architecture reveals a past rich in events.
