Departure towards the Omalos plateau, in the heart of the White Mountains, located at an altitude of 1100 m. The Samaria gorges are the longest in Europe, 18 km downhill, about 6 hours of walking, in a protected natural park. This magnificent and impressive site is home to a very rich flora and fauna and in particular the famous Cretan wild goats, the kri-kri. On leaving the gorges, you will pass the famous Iron Gates where the walls tighten, then you will arrive at the small port of Agia Roumeli, on the Libyan Sea coast, where you can swim.
You must be in perfect physical health, have good shoes, socks, water, a hat, sunscreen, a snack, dried fruits, cookies, a swimsuit for the first arrivals.
